Booking Terms & Conditions
General
The booking terms and conditions outlined below apply to Yaegl Eco-Tourism.
Management reserves the right to amend or alter prices (other than for confirmed bookings), sites and these Terms and Conditions at any time without notice.
Yaegl Eco-Tourism takes website bookings up to 270 days in advance.
You must be at least 18 years of age with a valid form of ID and payment method to stay with us if you are not accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Children under the age of 9 are not permitted to sleep on top bunk beds. Bunk Beds have a maximum weight limit of 75kg.
All guests will be required to complete a guest registration form prior to or upon arrival at the cottage. Failure to do this may result in refusal of your reservation.
All guests must abide by Cottage Rules, guidelines, signage and reasonable requests from cottage staff at all times.
A valid credit card must be provided for all bookings to secure your reservation with us. The guest credit card must match the name on the Reservation. The guest whose signature appears on the guest registration form shall be deemed responsible to pay for all room/site costs and agrees that all costs will be paid prior to departure. Any payments not able to be recovered directly from a guest will be referred to a debt collection agency with the cost of collection being added to the debt to be collected.
The guest authorises Yaegl Eco-Tourism to deduct any outstanding room/site costs, fees, damage charges, etc from their given credit card. Any damages or loss incurred from your cabin or site may also be charged to this card, including, but not limited to, loss of items from the house, damages or non-returns of hire equipment, loss of keys or damages to the site. Should you not be able to provide a valid credit card, a $300 cash bond and a copy of your photo ID is required for all bookings.
Credit Card Pre-Authorisation: A pre-authorisation of your credit card may be required. A pre-authorisation is a temporary hold of a specific amount of the available balance on a credit or debit card that is provided upon booking. The pre-authorisation is not a charge, and no funds are debited from your account.
Yaegl Eco-Tourism will not be held responsible for, or liable to compensate loss, theft, or damage to personal property on, or brought into the accommodation/site or in the immediate vicinity of the accommodation/site.
Personal information collected may be used for direct marketing purposes where, in absence of an objection, implied consent is assumed. Yaegl Eco-Tourism will also provide options for a person to opt out of receiving marketing material.
The number of guests on the sites or in the accommodation at any one time shall not exceed the number of guests declared on the booking information, otherwise additional fees may be incurred.
Occupancy is granted under the acceptance of the above-mentioned terms and conditions in accordance with the cottage rules (subject to change without notice). Management reserves the right to terminate the occupancy due to any breach of the above.
Yaegl Eco-Tourism reserves the right to refuse or decline your booking at any time without reason. We reserve the right to refuse entry into the cottage for any reason we so determine in our discretion.
You have no ownership rights over the reserved cottage to resell to a third party. Subletting is not permitted.
If the guest is seeking special consideration over and above our standard cancellation policy, Yaegl Eco-Tourism reserves the right to request satisfactory evidence to support the guest request which may include medical certificate or other documentary evidence.
Minimum Length of Stay
The minimum length of stays applies during seasonal periods.
Payments/Deposits
A deposit is required to secure your booking with us. Bookings will not be guaranteed or confirmed without a deposit amount as specified at time of booking. Please note if your deposit is not paid within 48 hours, your reservation will be cancelled. Online bookings must be completed within 15 minutes to guarantee booking.
If the full payment of your booking is not received by the Balance Due Date, then the booking will be cancelled, and initial deposit paid will be forfeited.
An existing valid Guest Account Credit may be used for the deposit if the value of the guest credit is greater than the total of the booking. If the total of the booking is greater than the guest credit, full payment of the deposit is required and then the credit will be applied to the balance.
Credit/Eftpos Card Transaction Fees of 0.59% apply to Visa, 0.86% apply to Mastercard, 2.35% apply to American Express and 0.19% apply to Eftpos.
Cancellations/Amendments, Refunds & Guest Credits
We will do our best to assist you should your holiday plans change, although cannot guarantee that changes can be made nor that a refund is available. Please note that bookings in certain time periods, cannot be changed; however, in some instances, changes may be permitted but you will forfeit deposit paid. Cancellation requests for bookings made through Yaegl Eco-Tourism should be made directly to us.
Cancellations/refunds/date changes
OFF PEAK - will be accepted up until 14 days prior to arrival. Cancellations inside 14 days will result in full loss of payment .
SHOULDER/PEAK PERIODS (School Holidays/Christmas/New Year/Easter) - will be accepted up until 30 days prior to arrival. Cancellations inside 30 days will result in full loss of payment .
Peak Christmas period bookings must pay the balance due 30 days prior to arrival, will be treated like any standard booking, according to our policies and procedures.We are unable to process cancellations for bookings made via third parties (e.g. Online Travel Agents). You will need to contact these parties directly with any cancellation requests.
No refunds are given for unused portions of your booking, including no-shows and early departures or cancellations after you or your party has arrived at the park. A no-show is when you do not check-in on the day of your confirmed date of arrival. Please note that if you or your party do not arrive on the date of your arrival, full cancellation fees apply and will be charged to the credit card placed against the booking. Cancellation fees will not be refunded or credited. Your cottage may not be available if no prior communication about your booking has been received.
Should you wish to vacate your accommodation or site early, tariffs and deposits paid are not refundable or available as a guest account credit.
Reservations are NOT transferable to another person. If guests are unable to keep their reservation due to other commitments/situations, our standard cancellation policy applies.
Refunds may take up to 10 days to be processed or longer depending on your bank.
Guest Account Credit
Guest Account Credit must be used within 12 months of the date of the credit being processed. If the credit is not used for a stay prior to the expiry date will be void, of no value and any unused value will not be refunded.
Guest Account Credit Is only redeemable for accommodation or site fees at Yaegl Eco-Tourism and is not redeemable for cash, meals or any other products or services.
Guest Account Credit may be used in part or full, and any remaining value can be used towards subsequent purchases of accommodation within the 12-month validity period.
An existing valid Guest Account Credit may be used for the deposit if the value of the guest credit is greater than the total of the booking. If the total of the booking is greater than the guest credit, full payment of the deposit is required and then the credit will be applied to the balance.
Any further cancellation once the Guest Account Credit has been applied to a replacement booking will still be treated as the same cancellation date as when the 12-month validity period commenced, that is any subsequent cancellation will not result in a new validity period. Once expiry date is set, it is not extendable.
Once a guest credit has been offered and accepted, no subsequent refunds will be offered.
A guest account credit cannot be transferred to any other guest bookings. The name the credit is held under must match the guest's name on the booking.

Rest assured; Yaegl Eco-Tourism dog-friendly Lighthouse Cottage on Pilot Hill Yamba ensures you can enjoy a memorable trip with your best friend. As part of holidaying with your furry friend at Lighthouse Cottage, we do have some rules that we ask you to follow to ensure you all have the most memorable holiday experience. *Dogs are welcome at our Yaegl Eco-Tourism Lighthouse Cottage at Pilot Hill, Yamba all year round.
A maximum of 2 dogs are permitted per cottage.
The dog/s permitted on site at any one time shall not exceed/differ from the details/number of dogs declared on the booking and acknowledgment form. Management reserves the right to terminate the guest’s occupancy due to any breach of the above.
Dogs must be supervised at all times and never be left unattended. This includes but is not limited to the inside/outside of cottage or any other area in the garden.
Yaegl Eco-Tourism Lighthouse Cottage is governed by New South Wales laws and local council regulations regarding companion animals. Dangerous or aggressive dogs are not permitted in the cottage.
Failure to advise the inclusion of a dog/s at the time of booking may result in your booking not being honoured and forfeiture of all monies paid at time of check-in.
Dogs must be always kept on a lead less than 2 meters in length or within a suitable/appropriately fenced area within the cottage garden for the duration of your stay. No dog runs (such as lunge lines, tethered runs etc) or the like are permitted.
All dog faeces must be immediately removed and placed in a plastic bag and disposed of in the waste bins provided at the cottage. This includes on the site or failure to do so will immediately terminate the guest’s occupancy due to a breach of the Terms and Conditions.
Any washing of your dog or dog items must be carried out in a external garden area. Use of human facilities are strictly prohibited.
Yaegl Eco-Tourism Management reserves the right to terminate the occupancy of any guests whose dog is deemed to be displaying anti-social (including nuisance barking) behaviour or receives complaint/s from other guests witnessing anti-social behaviour by your dog.
It is the guest’s responsibility to always control and manage their dog within Yaegl Eco-Tourism Lighthouse Cottage for the duration of your stay.
Should the cottage or site be not left upon departure in a clean and tidy manner by the occupying guests, Yaegl Eco-Tourism reserves the right to charge any applicable fees, which are payable immediately upon departure.
Yaegl Eco-Tourism reserves the right to refuse or decline your request to accommodate a dog/s within our cottage at any time without reason. We reserve the right to refuse a dog/s entry into the park for any reason we so determine at our discretion.
The guest shall be responsible for any damage or injury caused by the dog/s and shall be liable immediately for any costs incurred as a result of damage or injury caused.
Yaegl Eco-Tourism permit into their cottage only dogs that are healthy and free of parasites e.g., worms and fleas, etc., and all vaccinations are up to date and proof of this may be requested by management.
